Inauguration of the Dr Raoul Pierre-Louis Hospital

On June 11th, President Michel Martelly, accompanied by Dr. Florence D. Guillaume, Minister of Public Health and Population, and the Ambassadors of Cuba and Brazil, inaugurated the Raoul Pierre-Louis Hospital in Carrefour. This is the third health infrastructure built as part of the tripartite cooperation between Brazil, Cuba, and Haiti. This brand new hospital facility has a technical staff, state of the art technology, and advanced information systems.

"With this inauguration, we end the cycle of inaugurations built as part of the Tripartite cooperation," stated Minister Guillaume. “Initiated with the inauguration of the regional laboratories of Cap-Haitien and Les Cayes, this cooperation continued with the establishment of the Gérald Léon Haitian Institute for Rehabilitation, Bon-Repos Hospital, Beudet Community Hospital, and finally the Dr. Raoul Pierre-Louis Hospital,” stated the Minister of Health.
