The construction site of the Court of Cassation is progressing well

The construction of the building that will house the Court of Cassation on the Champ de Mars will be completed well before the deadline. This was made evident during an inspection of the site on Thursday May 29th by Hwang Tsai Chiu, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Haiti, Harry Adam, Executive Director UCLBP, and Anel Alexis Joseph, President of the Court of Cassation.

Funded by the Government of China (Taiwan) to the tune of 15,300,000 USD, construction began in August 2013 through the OECC, a Taiwanese firm that has been working for 10 years in Haiti. According to Isaac Wu, Deputy General Director of OECC, 37% of the building has been completed. He said they should finish the work by the end of June 2015.
