Several private organizations, including the Seguin Foundation, participated in the workshop on International Day of Biological Diversity. Participants discussed several themes, including the protection of biodiversity reservoirs in Haiti. Régine Abraham, Director of the National Agency for Protected Areas (ANAP in French), spoke of the Haiti’s progress in this area. "With regard to protected areas, we now have a total area of 173,569 hectares under protection in Haiti," revealed the head of the ANAP.
