Biodiversity a wealth squandered in Haiti

On the International Day of Biodiversity, this past Thursday, May 22nd, a workshop was held at the Ministry of Environment to emphasize the importance of variety and the variability of the living world in all its forms. After this retreat, the participants focused on the protection of biodiversity in Haiti. Degradation is worrisome.

Several private organizations, including the Seguin Foundation, participated in the workshop on International Day of Biological Diversity. Participants discussed several themes, including the protection of biodiversity reservoirs in Haiti. Régine Abraham, Director of the National Agency for Protected Areas (ANAP in French), spoke of the Haiti’s progress in this area.
