Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe at BLTS

Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe visited the Brigade for the Fight Against Drug Trafficking (BLTS in French) on Thursday May 8th to monitor its progress. The Prime Minister, who promised 70 new vehicles to the National Police of Haiti (PNH in French), took advantage of his visit to congratulate the various PNH units who work tirelessly to improve Haiti’ security.

During his visit, Prime Minister Lamothe met with Godson Orélus, Chief of the National Police, and Normil Rameau, Divisional Inspector, about the different needs of PNH entities. Prime Minister Lamothe, also President of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN in French), said that kidnapping, robbery, and drug trafficking are declining in the country.
