College St-Louis de Bourdon celebrates its 50th anniversary

It was in a joyful atmosphere filled with testimonials, and thankfulness that teachers and officials, among others, at Saint-Louis College de Bourdon, commonly called "Mère Bourdon," celebrated the 50th anniversary of their establishment on February 28th. Gathered in the courtyard which was transformed into a chapel for the occasion, they thanked the Lord in a mass of thanksgiving for having been able to fulfill their mission of education for the past 50 years.

On Friday, February 28th, principals, teachers, students, and even alumni gathered in the school’s courtyard to celebrate, honor and thank all those who in one way or another enriched the college over the years. "50 years is a time to commemorate and celebrate life," acknowledged Sister Gercie Charles, Director of the Elementary School, who emotionally recalled the various pages of the history of the college, from its foundation to its gradual expansion.
