Judicial Year 2026-2027: Resumption of Hearings at the Court of Cassation

Des juges de la Cour de Cassation

The Court of Cassation announced the resumption of its hearings on Monday, October 19, 2026, with the examination of 18 cases, including 10 ordinary cases and 8 urgent ones. Three requests for recusation were among the ordinary cases, alongside several civil disputes. The urgent cases concerned, in particular, disputes between companies, individuals, and the Haitian State. The hearing was presided over by President Jean-Joseph Lebrun, assisted by his fellow judges and the public prosecutor represented by Yves Altidor. The high court reaffirmed its commitment to address the cases of the judicial year 2026-2027 submitted for its consideration and to exceed the volume of decisions rendered during the previous term.
