UNESCO Supports Artists and Funds Five Projects in Haiti

The UNESCO Office in Haiti presented, on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the Royal Oasis hotel in Pétion-Ville, the results of a project to support artistic creation funded by the organization’s Emergency Fund for Heritage. Through theater, music, singing, and dance, the beneficiary artists shared their creations as part of an initiative that supported five cultural projects, trained 50 sector actors, and assisted nearly 100 direct beneficiaries. During this evening, the Minister of Culture and Communication, Emmanuel Ménard, also announced the opening of the first House of Culture in Port-au-Prince, which will provide artists and craftsmen with a space to exhibit and sell their works.<\/p>
