Jacmel: arrest of an individual for sextortion

The National Police of Haiti (PNH) reported that on September 20, 2026, they arrested Osvaldo Mardy, accused of sextortion and threats on social media. According to the PNH, the individual was using the TikTok platform under the false identity of "Marjorie Toussaint" to extort money from men and women by threatening to share their intimate photos and videos in his possession. He reportedly amassed nearly one million gourdes since 2024, the PNH stated. The police are urging the public to report any form of blackmail and online sexual violence.
