The UN denounces "an alarming security situation" following the massacre in Kenscoff

The Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), António Guterres, laments the alarming decline of security in Haiti, following the attack perpetrated by a gang in Kenscoff, according to a statement relayed by his spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric. "The relentless attacks by gangs against communities and the loss of human lives underscore the urgency of ramping up Haitian and international security efforts," he emphasizes. The assault, which occurred on the night of August 23, reportedly left at least 47 dead, including 22 people executed within the grounds of a church where they had sought refuge, according to the UN.
