Elections: PNH Called to Strengthen Its Security Measures

The Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) has asked the National Police of Haiti (PNH) to strengthen security around the electoral process, according to a circular signed by the head of the ministry, Dr. Patrick Pélissier. The document specifically outlines measures regarding polling stations, political gatherings, maintaining order, and securing electoral materials in all departments. It calls upon the PNH to protect voters, candidates, and electoral personnel, as well as the agents of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), taking into account the security realities of each department.
