The U.S. administration continues to tighten its migration policy toward various countries around the world, including Haiti. After suspending all procedures related to the granting of political asylum or other statuses to foreign immigrants, the U.S. government this week ended the family reunification program for nationals of seven countries, including Haiti. Over the past 48 hours, a total or partial travel ban to the United States has been expanded to 39 countries, up from 19 previously.
