A commune in the Lower Artibonite, Grande Saline was completely flooded by Hurricane Melissa. Several people (more than fifteen, according to residents’ estimates) are missing, dozens of small houses have been destroyed, and the streets of the town center as well as the roads of all the municipal localities are submerged.
