The commune of L’Estère, in the Lower Artibonite region, has once again fallen victim to a new wave of attacks carried out by the gang “Kokorat San Ras.” These acts of violence, which occurred between Wednesday, October 15, and Thursday, October 16, left two people dead and caused extensive destruction of rice fields, among other damages, further worsening an already critical humanitarian situation in the area.
