Once again this year, the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), after missing the September back-to-school opening, has drawn its repressive arsenal to threaten schools, parents, and students who resumed classes before its official reopening date.
In a circular dated September 5, 2025, the MENFP invoked the provisions of a 1974 Decree to intimidate and attempt to force the recalcitrant to extend their vacations.
