The Steering Committee of the National Conference has made modifications to certain articles relating to executive power in the new version of its proposed Constitution. Others, which concern territorial division, among others, are maintained as they are.

According to Article 118 of the proposed Constitution submitted to the CPT for referendum, a copy of which Le Nouvelliste obtained, “executive power is exercised by the President of the Republic, assisted by a Vice President, ministers, and secretaries of state.&rdq
