Claude Mancuso: A Trailblazer of Compas Direct Music Videos

Claude Mancuso is considered one of the great builders of Haitian audiovisual production. From the first compas music video to landmark works with Emeline Michel, Master Dji, or Boukman Eksperyans, his name remains inseparable from the history of music videos in Haiti. "It is thanks to Haiti that I entered this profession," confides Mancuso. At 16, during his vacations in the country, he discovered his passion for cinema thanks to a camera found by his father, an Air France employee.
