The National Agency for Protected Areas (ANAP), an autonomous directorate under the Ministry of the Environment and the body responsible for the Protected Areas Security Brigade (BSAP), has been undergoing restructuring since January 2024.
By decree adopted in the Council of Ministers on Monday, January 22, 2024, the decree of May 10, 2017, appointing the Director General of ANAP was repealed. A technical commission for the restructuring of the agency was established by the government led by Ariel Henry.
