Artisanat en Fête 2024: A Celebration of Passion, Tradition, and Creativity with 230 Artisans

230 artisans from all sectors of the Haitian craft industry invite the public to join them on Saturday, December 14, and Sunday, December 15, 2024, to celebrate passion, tradition, and creativity. Organized by Le Nouvelliste and the Haitian Art Research and Promotion Institute (IRPAH), Artisanat en Fête – the fair that highlights local production – will bring together art enthusiasts for two days to support local artisans and purchase their works.

Invited to the December 10th edition of the Magik 9 morning show, Max Chauvet, director of Le Nouvelliste and co-organizer of Artisanat en Fête with IRPAH, shared details about the organization of this year’s event. He also commented on the state of the Haitian craft market, as the country grapples with a labyrinth of crises, and explained the organizers’ commitment to ensuring the event goes ahead.
