In an interview with the Miami Herald, U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, stated that her country will continue imposing direct sanctions against Haitians responsible for violence and instability in Haiti.
"We believe that sanctions work. Haitians believe that sanctions work. No one wants to be on a sanctions list," she told the Florida newspaper.
