A brand new American diplomat has assumed office in Port-au-Prince since March 26th. Ambassador Dennis B. Hankins replaces the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim Eric William Stromayer at the helm of the mission in Tabarre.
The new ambassador made himself known to the Haitian public on April 1st by paying a noteworthy visit to the interim prime minister and the minister of foreign affairs.
