UNDP and Japan Collaborate to Enhance HNP Capacities

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Embassy of Japan in Haiti signed an agreement on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, aiming to enhance the capabilities of the Haitian National Police (HNP). This project involves providing the HNP with 24 patrol vehicles and 8 fully equipped ambulances.

With the goal of strengthening the presence of police personnel among the population and enabling the institution to ensure proper transportation for injured officers during police interventions or facing health issues to hospitals, 24 patrol vehicles and 8 fully equipped ambulances will be handed over to the Haitian National Police. An agreement was signed between the UNDP and the Embassy of Japan in Haiti this Tuesday.
