IDB's Cultural Friday Focuses on Haitian Craftsmanship in International Trade

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will host a panel of guests for its "Cultural Friday" on December 1, 2023, to discuss the question: "How to bring Haitian handicrafts to the international market?" The event will be moderated by Frantz Duval, editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper Le Nouvelliste, and will feature the participation of Corinne Cathala, the BID representative in Haiti, who will deliver the opening and closing remarks for the occasion.

Haitian handicrafts will once again be at the center of discussions during the IDB's "Cultural Friday," just a few days before the Craftsmanship Festival Artisanat en fête. For this session scheduled for December 1, 2023, art graduate Sandra Rousseau, CEO of Sandilou, a company specializing in the production of unique clothing in Haiti and a member of the Chamber of Crafts and Crafts of Haiti (CMAH), will address the daily challenges and export difficulties faced by Haitian handicrafts.
