The government of Prime Minister Ariel Henry has made its choice. Without attempting to contain the bandits who forced them out of their homes and pushed them to seek refuge outside the premises of the American embassy, the police have driven away the refugees.
Women, children, the elderly, and brave men will have to find other shelters.
The government has done what diplomatic conventions require. Will it now do what the laws of the Republic demand: protect the Haitians?
One can doubt it.
