At the initiative of Catholic priest Tom Hagan, a truce is being observed between the armed gangs of Cité Soleil after a succession of clashes that have left hundreds dead, countless wounded by gunshot, raped and thousands displaced since the beginning of 2021.
In this corner of the world, transformed into an open-air hell, a day of peace is a chance to live another day. In Cité Soleil, no one will spit on this truce and the possibility of circulating without being the target of a sniper.
