IDB Adapts Portfolio to Address Haiti's Challenges

For several years, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has adapted its intervention strategy to more effectively respond to the deterioration of the situation in Haiti and mitigate the impact of various shocks the country has faced, with a focus on the most vulnerable populations. This was emphasized by the IDB representative, Corinne Cathala, during the Wednesday Reflections edition held on June 28, 2023.

Increasing food security for the Haitian population and strengthening safety nets for vulnerable communities have been among the prioritized actions by the Inter-American Development Bank over the past three years. Under the theme "Haiti in a Prolonged Fragile Situation: What are the Best Actions to Support the Most Vulnerable?", this edition of the IDB's Wednesday Reflections shed light on the bank's interventions to ensure food security for the poorest in the country.
