Gold Cup 2023: Haiti Sets Up Camp in Houston to Face Qatar

With the preparation stage concluded and Haiti having benefited from matches against Saint Kitts and Nevis (3-1), Miami United (3-1), and Trinidad and Tobago (0-0), the team has settled in Houston since Thursday evening. On Sunday, June 25, at 4:00 p.m. (Port-au-Prince time) at RNG Stadium, in Group B, the Grenadiers eagerly await the national team of Qatar to officially kick off their 9th Gold Cup from 2000 to 2023.

The national teams of Haiti and Qatar will face each other for the second time, following their first encounter on November 18, 2010, which ended in a Haitian victory (1-0) with a goal from Monuma Constant Jr. (52nd minute) in a friendly match held in Al Rayyan, Qatar.

Nearly thirteen years later, the two opponents will meet again, this time in an official competition, the Gold Cup. The Grenadiers have made progress since then, participating in the 2013, 2015, 2019, and 2021 editions of the Gold Cup, not to mention the 2016 Copa Am
