ReNES, a new alliance between UEH and regional public universities

The rectorate of the State University of Haiti (UEH) and the regional public universities have inaugurated the National Network of Public Higher Education (ReNES). The launch ceremony for this new institution took place on Monday, May 15, 2023, at the Montana Hotel. The ceremony was attended by members of the UEH rectorate, Minister Nesmy Manigat, officials from various entities of the UEH and public regional universities (UPR), students, and partner institutions of the UEH.

The newly established organization, known as the National Network of Public Higher Education (ReNES), aims to enhance higher education in Haiti, with a particular focus on public institutions. During his address at the launch event, Rector Fritz Deshommes, who also serves as the President of the ReNES Executive Council, commended the establishment of this structure and acknowledged the efforts of all those who contributed to its formation.
