Ongoing progress in reducing risks in buildings

You have probably noticed plaques at the entrance of some important buildings indicating that they are Miyamoto-certified. Dr. H. Kit Miyamoto, SE, president and CEO of Miyamoto International, Inc., is a structural engineer. He is a member of the California Seismic Safety Commission. Miyamoto came to Haiti four days after the earthquake. Since he emerged, he has delivered expertise to local engineers and masons on seismic standards. In Japan, Le Nouvelliste met with Dr Miyamoto.
