OIM: Ecole Nationale de Thor auditorium inaugurated

The International Organization for Migration (OIM in French) launched the inauguration of the auditorium at the National School of Thor on Tuesday September 16th. It will serve as the first evacuation shelter for the communities living in the flood prone areas of the town of Carrefour. Representatives from the IDB, the DPC, OCHA, and FAES attended the inauguration ceremony.

The Ecole Nationale de Thor auditorium was built to respond to emergencies, hazards, and natural disasters. Music, flowers, champagne, and welcome songs sung by the students gave the opening ceremony a festive atmosphere. In the audience were representatives of different organizations, guests, and the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC in French).
