Early flood warning system

Often flooded by the Grise r and Blanche Rivers, the plain of the Cul-de-Sac now has an early flood warning system to advise locals of potential danger. An initiative welcomed by the Department for Civil Protection.

On Thursday, April 10th, the “Feed the Future West / WINNER” project inaugurated an early flood warning system in Croix-des-Bouquets. The Cul-de-Sac is one of most significant agricultural production plains in the country. It is an initiative that is aimed to protect lives and property in a region that is frequently flooded by the Grise and Blanche Rivers.
