On Thursday, April 10th, the “Feed the Future West / WINNER” project inaugurated an early flood warning system in Croix-des-Bouquets. The Cul-de-Sac is one of most significant agricultural production plains in the country. It is an initiative that is aimed to protect lives and property in a region that is frequently flooded by the Grise and Blanche Rivers. This system will also help authorities to prepare for and respond to disasters caused by flooding rivers.
