Canado: 40 years in technical training

The Center for Professional Training Haiti (CFPH in French) / Canado the country’s first technical center for vocational and technical training, celebrated its 40th anniversary on Thursday December 19th, in Turgeau. Offering four courses of study to 1,200 students per year, the center renewed its mission of preparing professionals and technicians who can successfully integrate the labor market.

200 people from various backgrounds celebrated CFPH’s 40th anniversary in Collége Canado’s auditorium. Officials of the institution took the opportunity to express their satisfaction and are committed to training professionals that are able to respond to market demands. Lucien Durand, Director of Permanent Education at CFPH, unveiled the history of the institution.
