Commissioner Edler Guillaume Extends Invitations to 5 Former Senators, 2 Ex-ONA Directors, and a Former Deputy

Government prosecutor, Edler Guillaume, issued a dozen invitations on Wednesday, November 22, to individuals named in the report by the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC). Former senators, including Joseph Lambert, Garcia Delva, Richard Lénine Hervé Fourcand, Wanique Pierre, Nenel Cassy, are invited by the government commissioner to the court of first instance in Port-au-Prince for the alleged offenses. The former director-general of the National Old-Age Insurance Office (ONA) is also invited to the public prosecutor's office in Port-au-Prince.

Upon receiving the ULCC report, the government commissioner at the court of first instance in Port-au-Prince, Edler Guillaume, initiated legal action against a dozen public figures implicated in the latest ULCC report. This list includes several former senators. Former Senator Joseph Lambert is invited on December 1, 2023, starting at 10 a.m., for "misappropriation of public funds," in accordance with Article 5.4 of the law of March 12, 2014, on the prevention and repression of corruption.
