The government has modified the mandate of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP). In an order published on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, the executive amended Article 3 of the order of September 18, 2024, which appointed the members of the CEP and defined their mandate.
The new order introduces a fourth paragraph into Article 3 of the order of September 18, 2025. It instructs the CEP to “take all necessary measures, within its remit, for the implementation of the provisions of Articles 12 and 14 of the National Pact for Stabilit
