The Director of the Directorate of Immigration and Emigration (DIE), Antoine Jean Simon Fénélon, along with nine other officials of the institution, were released on Friday, March 27, 2026, following their hearing at the Port-au-Prince prosecutor’s office. They had been apprehended by the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) for issuing “genuine-fake” passports to foreigners.
