2025 State Exams: MENFP Adjusts Plans to Current Realities

The end-of-secondary-school exams are taking place from Monday, July 14, 2025, to Thursday, July 17, 2025. These exams are being held in a particular context, marked by the displacement of more than one million Haitians due to gang violence. On the first day of the exams, this Monday, July 14, Yves Roblin, Director General of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), appeared on the program Panel Magik to explain how the ministry is managing the situation.

On social media and in WhatsApp forums during the weekend prior to the exams, several candidates and parents complained about difficulties obtaining access slips for the exam rooms. This year, the problem has worsened due to the violence of armed gangs and the displacement of over a million people to camps or other provinces. When asked about the management of these displaced populations, Yves Roblin explained that measures have been taken to allow these candidates to take the exams.
