Thousands of Canapé-Vert residents took to the streets of Port-au-Prince on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The protesters aimed to denounce the latest surge of violence orchestrated by criminal groups united under the Viv Ansanm coalition. They also sought to demand that authorities adopt measures to curb the crimes committed by these gangs.
The demonstrators gathered near the Canapé-Vert public square and the former Tag Market supermarket on Rue Bois-Patate. They then proceeded to Bourdon Road via Rue
