APEP Condemns the Organization of Haiti’s 2025 National Carnival

n a statement published on February 10, 2025, the Professional Association of Private Schools (APEP) expressed its dissatisfaction with the Haitian authorities' decision to allocate $4 million for the organization of the 2025 National Carnival, highlighting the "indecency" of this expenditure in the midst of a deep crisis. According to APEP, these funds should have been used to address the daily suffering of the Haitian people.

"How can such an expense for a carnival be justified when misery and distress are omnipresent in our country?" the association asks, denouncing the "irrationality" of this decision.
