BNC Case: Indicted CPT Member Recuses All Investigative Courts in Port-au-Prince

Indicted in the corruption case involving the Banque Nationale de Crédit (BNC), Counselor Louis Gérald Gilles challenges all the investigative chambers of the Port-au-Prince First Instance Court. He cites “legitimate suspicion” against all the magistrates, particularly Benjamin Félismé, who issued a summons against him and two other presidential councilors.

While CPT member Louis Gérald Gilles is summoned to the investigative chamber on December 9 to answer questions from Judge Benjamin Félismé—who indicted him in the BNC corruption case— Gilles, through his lawyers, has challenged all the investigative chambers of the Port-au-Prince court.
