Gradual Resumption of Activities in Downtown Port-au-Prince Following Two Weeks of Unrest

Port-au-Prince’s downtown area has seen a partial resumption of activity this week after two weeks of disruption caused by armed gang violence that began on November 11, 2024, Le Nouvelliste observed.

On Monday, November 25, despite lingering uncertainty, activities resumed in accessible neighborhoods. Some students in Delmas, Pétion-Ville, and downtown Port-au-Prince returned to school. As a precaution, many chose to wear regular clothes instead of their uniforms.
