Haiti earns spot in Concacaf U20 Championship

The Haitian men's U20 national team, after a suspenseful match, drew against Puerto Rico (1-1) this Tuesday, February 27, at the SKNFA Technical Centre (Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis), securing the sole ticket from Group E to the Concacaf championship, serving as qualification for the U20 World Cup finals in Chile in 2025.

At the end of a first period to be quickly forgotten, the Haitian U20 team, unrecognizable and dominated by the Puerto Rican team, conceded the first goal of the match. To punish the young Grenadiers, Fabian Menendez (39th minute, 1-0) skillfully volleyed a cross past the Haitian defense.

Angelo Jean-Baptiste's proteges, who showed little throughout the first half, failed to wake up and entered halftime trailing by a goal against a Puerto Rican team that had a serious chance of qualification.
