Haiti Seeks $674 Million for Its New Humanitarian Response Strategy

Estimated at 5.2 million in 2023, the number of Haitians in need of humanitarian assistance in 2024 has risen to 5.5 million. Authorities speak of 1.8 million people on the brink of famine. The situation is catastrophic. The government and the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) have analyzed the needs to assist them, and according to the response plan presented, $674 million is needed to provide assistance to 3.6 million Haitians.
