Six Investigating Judges Conclude Terms with Ongoing Sensitive Investigations

Judges Al Duniel Dimanche and Walter Wesser Voltaire are among the six judges at the Port-au-Prince first-instance court whose terms expire this Monday, January 29, 2024. Some of these judges are handling sensitive cases.

A long list of investigating magistrates appointed in January 2021 is seeing the end of their term. On this list are six magistrates at the Port-au-Prince first-instance court, confirmed by the president of the Professional Magistrates Association (APM), Marthel Jean Claude. He too, as an investigating judge, sees his term coming to an end after being designated last December to conduct an inquiry into the scholarship case offered by the Russian Federation to Haiti.
