The extension of the FRG mandate, "an important step forward", according to the government

The government of the Republic of Haiti welcomes, in a statement, the decision of the United Nations Security Council to extend the mandate of the Gang Suppression Force (FRG) until March 31, 2027. It considers this decision as "an important step forward" in the pursuit of efforts to restore security in Haiti. The resolution was adopted on Tuesday, September 29, with 12 votes in favor, none against, and three abstentions.<\/p>
