While all eyes, especially those of the government, are turned towards the United Nations for the deployment of a foreign military force to counter the rise of armed gangs in Haiti, the Haitian Armed Forces are struggling to find their role in the discussions. The Prime Minister's visit to the army base in Clercine on March 17th, along with his promises, failed to make the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd’H) a significant part of the solution in the fight against insecurity.
