Martissant sees transportation activities resume while danger grows in Canaan

Public transport drivers are being urged to resume their operations on the Martissant section, which remains under the exclusive control of armed gangs, after a week of almost complete traffic paralysis at the southern entrance of Port-au-Prince.

The restrictions that had previously prevented public transport vehicles from utilizing National Route 2 through Martissant have now been lifted. Changeux Méhu, the coordinator of the Association of Owners and Drivers of Haiti (APCH), announced this on Magik9 on Monday, May 22, 2023.
