The government adopts the budget decree for 2020-2027

The government adopted, in a council of ministers, a budget decree for the 2026-2027 fiscal year amounting to 401 billion 200 million gourdes on September 30, 2026. 73 billion gourdes, or 18% of this envelope, are allocated to the ministries of Justice and Defense, which oversee the PNH and the FAD'H. 8.6 billion gourdes are allocated for electoral activities, as stated in a government communiqué announcing the adoption of this budget which "takes place in a demanding national context."
