Melchie Dumornay Named Among 2026 Ballon d’Or Nominees

After finishing 18th last year, Melchie Dumornay has been named among the 30 female footballers in contention for the most coveted individual trophy in the world, the France Football Ballon d’Or.

For the second consecutive time, the Haitian international from OL Lyonnes has been nominated by France Football magazine in the race for the 2026 Ballon d’Or, whose award ceremony will take place in London, England—for the first time outside Paris, in tribute to the very first winner, Stanley Matthews, on the trophy’s 70th anniversary.
