Artibonite: PNH operation against gangs in Jean-Denis

The National Police of Haiti (PNH), with the support of the Task Force, carried out an operation on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in the Artibonite department, specifically in Jean-Denis, against criminal groups. According to the PNH, the operation aimed to dismantle and regain control of areas occupied by the gangs "Gran Grif" and "Kokorat san ras." During the intervention, law enforcement forces destroyed nearly 11 concrete barriers that were blocking access to certain criminal strongholds. The PNH also indicates that a batch of wood was burned by the agents in order to clear the route from Dupliraye to Des Ordres.
