Three officers from the Anti-Gang Temporary Unit (UTAG) and a scout working with the Haitian National Police (PNH) were killed on Friday, May 29, 2026, by members of the Gran Grif gang of Savien, in the fourth communal section of Saint-Marc. Several videos that went viral on social media, filmed by the terrorists themselves, displayed the lifeless bodies of the victims, still in uniform, being subjected to degrading treatment. Relatives, community leaders, and police officers identified the bodies.
