Haitian authorities announced, on Thursday, March 26, 2026, the submission of the file on the “Know-how of Haiti’s Vèvè Tracing” to UNESCO for inscription on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

After Soup Joumou, Cassava, and Konpa/Compas, Haiti is now advocating for the inscription of the vèvè on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
